Chapter 74. The Search for Kate

Lillian's POV

I returned to the palace, and I wanted to see Mother so she could see that I returned safe and sound. She had been worried about me before I left and adamantly refused to leave the palace.

She will be surprised to see me, I didn't tell her that I would be coming home today. I hurried towards her quarters, hoping to see her.

"Mother!" I pushed the door of her room open and met with her maidens, they froze when they saw me and were fidgeting with their clothes.

I narrowed my eyes on them. "Where is my Mother?" I asked and glanced at each of them in the room, the bed was empty and my mother wasn't in it.

"Princess." One of the maidens stepped forward.

"I said where is my mother, I believe you should give me answers to that."
