Lillian’s POV
I was imprisoned in the dungeon under Hermes’ orders and faced imminent execution on false charges of deceit.
In three days, I would be publicly executed in front of everyone.
I was sitting in a corner of the dungeon, staring at the small opening that served as a window.
I sighed and wrapped my arms around myself. I could see my shadow through the glimmering moonlight that had found its way into the dungeon.
I heard the rattling of keys and turned my head toward the iron door. Hermes was unlocking it, and there was someone behind him, covering their face with a shawl.
