Chapter 165. Falling in Love
Freya’s POV
I managed to sneak down the concrete staircase unnoticed by Sienna and her lover, but the bile still rose in my throat from the sickness of Sienna’s behavior.
Before I had a chance to realize what was going on down there, I hadn’t registered the set of four cages hidden down in the basement. I was far too set on finding somewhere to hide myself from Sienna’s view, so I headed straight for the piece of furniture covered in a dirty old sheet at the left side of me.
As I ducked behind it, I began to peer from the side, my eyes focusing on the cage and I felt the sickness rise once more. The chill from the cold basement brushed against the bare skin of my arms, and I felt a shudder run down my spine.
‘Why does she have cages?’ Elara asked in my mind as I felt her focus with me ‘In what way does Sienna have any use for these?’
