Chapter 51. You Can’t Hurt Freya

Rufus’s POV

Freya laid a deadweight in my arms after passing out. I panicked, noticing a few of the pack warriors coming for me. My eyes snapped around the chapel, trying to figure out the best route to escape without injury.

‘Hurry Rufus!’ Silver said ‘You need to run!’

‘I know that! Damn wolf’ I said harshly to my wolf, and as I began to make a run for the nearest exit, I heaved Freya into my arms as I carried her and made a run for it.

I didn’t get far before the hands of the warriors were on me, I felt them pull me back, and I watched in panic as they wrenched Freya from my arms.

“Freya!” I called out, reaching out to try and grab onto her before they took her away. Two warriors held me back, and I found myself unable to move as more joined them in the struggle.

“Give her back!” I demanded, my blood began to boil with fury once more. “Freya! I’m going to save you!”
