Chapter 58. A World of Hurt and Pain

Freya’s POV

‘Did you ask Nathan about last night?’ Elara asked as I browsed the Summer Sale section in this clothing store ‘With his strange behavior.’

‘No,’ I said with a sigh as I pondered on whether this spotted top would suit me ‘I figured to let it slide, I want to enjoy our honeymoon.’

‘Sure,’ Elara said, and I knew she wasn’t convinced ‘Just buy the damn top! Your indecisive thoughts are aggravating me.’

‘Yes ma’am,’ I replied with a chuckle.

Leaving the store, I had a craving to fulfil. I needed coffee! So I began to head across the street to one of my favorite places. Ordering my usual, I enjoyed the quietness of the place today and chose a comfortable sofa in the corner of the room.

‘I’ve been thinking,’ Elara said with a pause.

‘Steady,’ I interrupted with a smirk before taking a sip of my coffee ‘Don’t do yourself any damage.’

Elara chose to ignore my comment ‘Do you ever think about the night you got your power?’
