Freya’s POV
“Why is Milo so cruel?” I asked, Rufus’s eyes fixed on me as he placed his hands on my shoulders. I could feel the tears welling in my eyes. “I’m going to be continuously judged, aren’t I?”
“Freya, honey,” Rufus sighed, wrapping his arms around me, he brought me in for an embrace. My head face buried into his comforting, warm chest. “Don’t listen to that idiot,” Rufus took his hand to my head and began to stroke my hair gently. “He always does this, he finds a way to cause an argument between us. He gets off on it. Milo will have forgotten all about it in a few days.”
“But I won’t have forgotten,” I said, pulling myself away to look Rufus in the eyes again. The tears began to stream now. “I don’t want to cause any friction in this pack family, especially if we’re going to be together,” I released an exhale. “I just want us all to be happy.”
“As do I my love,” Rufus said. “I’ll have a word with Milo tomorrow.”
