Elaine’s POV

“Elaine, this is madness, you need to stop!”

The sound of my darling husband’s voice grated on my brain most of the time, but now it was nearly unbearable. I wished the wolves would tear his throat out, so I could at least get some peace and quiet.

“Percival,” I said with a sigh as I stood to my feet. “This is none of your business, this is between me and my son.”

“Our son,” Percy replied with a firm tone to his voice. “I’m sick and tired of you making all of the decisions around here Elaine!” He stood up and matched my eyeline. “I was once the Alpha of this pack, and you’re treating me like dirt on your shoe.”

A smirk formed on my lips. “Dearest Percy,” I laughed, a mocking tone escaped me. “You would think it’s admirable that you’re making an attempt to stand your ground, but it’s absolutely laughable really!”

“Think what you like about me,” Percy said, appearing to ignore my comments. “But don’t you dare harm Freya. Does the
