Freya’s POV

The wind rushed through my hair as I ran, my eyes set onto the forest ahead. Chilled air nipped at my skin, my nipples hardened from the cold against them, pain stinging through them as I increased my speed.

‘He’s close,’ Elara said in my mind ‘I can sense our mate, coming nearer. He is fast Freya.’

I could feel him too, even though our minds were not linked right now, I could feel Rufus behind me, his presence near me, and as much as I wanted to stop and let my mate ravage me, I wanted to make the chase a challenge for him.
