Chapter 81. Ready or Not, Here I Come

Rufus’s POV

‘Something isn’t right Silver, can you sense it?’ I asked my wolf. Arriving back home with Freya, I had asked the siblings, Jared and Lara to leave us to talk it over.

‘Something is off, I can smell it,’ Silver husked as I knew our senses connected ‘Let’s not be too hasty though, be gentle with Freya’

‘I agree,’ I said as I watched Freya wandering around the kitchen, her usual routine of making tea after coming back home ‘She just, looks different’

‘How so?’ Silver asked, I can catch a slightly different scent, but nothing else.

‘Her skin,’ I said with a pause ‘it has a stone grey to the tone and I swear I can see small cracks in the surface,’ I studied Freya as she made her drink, and as she gave me a swift glance and our eyes met, I noticed her eyes once more ‘And her eyes, are burning like flames’

Silver chuckled ‘Fire eyes, that sounds pretty cool,’ He paused ‘Just be a grown up and ask her, talk to her Rufus.’
