Hazel’s POV

“Oh what a silly boy,” I said to myself smugly, pouring myself another glass of wine as I waved my fingers over the top of the glass. “Give a man a promise of sex, and he will do as you say.”

I heard the start of Nathan’s car engine, as he sped off away from my cottage. I took a sip of the wine, the sweet taste danced on my tongue. “But if only he knew the truth.”

My black cat, Sapphire jumped onto the table I sat at, her face nuzzled my hand for affection, As I stroked her soft fur, the sound of her purring grew louder. “That was far too easy Sapphire,” I chuckled. “If only he knew the sacrifice will still happen,” I paused. “In fact, that was too good I need to inform Elaine.”

I reached out my mind to connect with Elaine Luddington, opening a conversation as I sent out my first words. Elaine’s mind was open and easy to receive me.
