“Holy Moon Goddess, what a dump,” I muttered under my breath as I stood across the street, eyeing the apartment building like it might collapse at any moment.

The late afternoon sun cast harsh shadows that only highlighted every crack in the faded brick exterior, every broken window, and the overall sense of neglect that hung over the place like a bad omen.

“This can’t possibly be the right place,” My wolf Keal whimpered inside my mind.
