Silvia POV

“Everything’s looking absolutely beautiful, Silvia. Your little wolf cub is developing perfectly... nineteen weeks and thriving! I bet you’re crossing off calendar days. Thought about names yet?” Dr. Wilson’s voice bounced cheerfully around the examination room.

Her words, meant to be reassuring, hit me like a punch to the gut.

My wolf Keal whimpered inside me, a mixture of joy and anxiety flowing through our bond.

*It’s real, Silvia. So real now,* Keal whispered in my mind. *Our pup is strong.*

I forced my lips into what I hoped resembled a smile and shook my head. “Not yet. Still... processing everything.”

The weeks had been sprinting by at a frightening speed.
