I jerked away from Zack’s touch like it was acid on my skin, twisting my head so hard I nearly gave myself whiplash.

Every inch of me screamed in revulsion at his proximity.

His face twisted in that fake calm expression he always wore right before he lost it. “Why? Really, Silvia? You’re gonna stand there and ask me why?”
