Chapter 78. Feelings

Elena's POV.

The guards closed in, grabbing me roughly. I struggled against their grip, but they only held me tighter, dragging me away.

"Let me go!" I shouted, but they ignored my protests, flinging me inside the cell. Derek caught me, his arms wrapping around me as I stumbled.

"Elena!" he exclaimed, his eyes flashing with anger. "How dare you touch her like that!" he snarled at the guards, but they simply dragged Marrok in and slammed the door shut, locking us in. Derek held me close, his gaze searching mine.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft with concern. I nodded, still trying to process our situation. He helped me sit down, and I couldn't believe we were all trapped.
