Elena's POV.

"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked, confusion etched on my face. Mercy let out a sigh and turned to face me.

"He just dropped you off, called a doctor to attend to you, and then he left," she explained. I felt a pang of worry.

"Did you see him with someone else?" I asked, hoping for any information that could alleviate my concerns.

Mercy shook her head, "No, he was alone." I nodded, feeling a sense of unease.

I could sense Derek sadness I knew he was blaming himself for what happened. I needed to talk to him. I glanced around, searching for my phone, but it was nowhere to be found.

"My phone," I said to Mercy, and she stood up, "Oh, I'm coming," she replied. I nodded, thanking her, my voice barely above a whisper.

She walked over to the dressing table, picked up my phone, and handed it to me. I dialed Derek's number, but there was no response
