Derek's POV.

My fangs were emerging, and I desperately wished Elena would shift away, but she didn't. The scent of her blood filled my nostrils, and I struggled to resist, but my instincts were too strong.

I sank my fangs into her neck, and she let out a loud growl. I felt a surge of guilt, wanting to pull away, but my thirst for blood overpowered my self-control. I continued to drink her blood, unable to stop myself.
