Chapter 89. It's Time to Put Him in His Place

Derek's POV.

As I slowly came to, I let out a groan and opened my eyes to the faint light of dawn. I turned to see Elena still fast asleep, and my heart swelled with affection. I leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead before standing up and making my way back to my car.

As I drove away, my thoughts shifted to Richard, and my anger simmered. He had crossed a line by holding Elena captive, and I knew he wouldn't stop there. I needed to take action before he struck again.

I changed my route and headed to Marrok Bar, knowing he likely spent the night there. I sped towards the bar, my resolve growing with each passing moment.

I parked outside and walked in, my eyes scanning the relatively empty space for Marrok before making my way up to the VIP section.

I knocked on the door, and Marrok's sleepy voice asked, "Who's there?"
