Chapter 20

Adelaide's POV

I stood up and had a lengthy shower. I took care to wash my body and shave everything. I still felt unclean from yesterday's altercation. I changed into a white shirt and sweatpants after I got out. I was certain that the girls would assist me in getting dressed later. Perhaps they could assist me decide what to dress since I was not sure. 

I went to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat after moving downstairs. I knew I would have to find something to eat since I had already missed lunch. The chef turned to face me when I walked into the kitchen and grinned, saying, "Good day, Luna queen! How may I assist you?"

"Feel free to refer to me as Adele. I had hoped to have a late lunch or a snack." I turned to face the refrigerator and added, "I slept in late today and missed lunch." The chef stopped me as I moved to open it.
