Chapter 76

Gabriel's POV

"Gabriel, she is no longer here. While we slept, someone stole her away from here. There was an odd scent in the room and the window was open when we woke up." Zeila sits on the floor, a jumble of emotions, sobbing heartbreakingly. 

She tugs fiercely at her hair, tears continuing to fall like a cascade down her face. Beside her resides an unidentified female, most likely the lady from the harem Rosalie spoke to me about. She must go by Fiona. To prevent Zeila from hurting herself by yanking her hair off her head, she makes an effort to stop her.

I stand there staring at Zeila, rooted to the spot, her words failing to register with me. As I don't say anything, she raises her red eyes to me.

"Why did they take her, Gabriel? She didn't do anything to anyone. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Rosa is missing; where is she? We need to find her."
