Dylan sat in his chair, staring at the wall of the pack meeting room, darting his eyes aimlessly back and forth. He could have sworn he didn’t sleep a wink during the night. Having Diane around causes him an unwarranted sleepless night. It had been a while since he last saw her, but seeing her again yesterday felt like she had never left. It felt like she’d always been around, tormenting his peace of mind.

The maid he had sent for stepped into the room with her head bowed. “Good morning, Alpha.”
