Chapter 70

We took turns driving round the human town and I enjoyed the ride. I forgot about everything and was happy. Cassidy was right, I definitely needed this. She took me to her favorite ice cream spot where we ordered ice cream till we felt our brains frozen and we could no longer move. We shopped in different malls, interacted with a lot of humans who were totally oblivious of who we were. We even went to an arcade where I spent almost all my savings on.

We went to a cinema and watched some scary movies that had me screaming my heart out and throwing my popcorn at the screen and Cassidy laughing at me. She felt so free with me. This was the first time I had seen her laugh with so much abandon without looking over her shoulder to see what people think of the sound of her laughter. I don't know why she is so insecure.

I stared at the sky and the sun was setting. I decided that I've had enough fun for the day.

" We should head back."
