Chapter 71

Leila's POV

I wake up with a banging headache and a freezing body. It took me three seconds to realize that I was on the bare ground. My memories came flooding back without warning and I winced a little. I tried to sit up but I felt my limbs being restricted and looked down to see that my hands were being tied behind my back explaining why I was feeling uncomfortable and my legs were tied one forcefully above the other. I groaned.

There was a creaking sound, and a shift of energy in the room and I knew instantly that the door had opened and someone had entered the room. I let my eyes get used to the darkness and manage the poor light allowed into the room through a small window that a newborn could hardly stick its head out without being crushed.

I tried to move again and I am being reminded that I am being tied up like a sack when the pain in my limbs increased. I cursed myself for being too weak.
