Chapter 148. Cynthia's Punishment from the Baron

Cynthia’s breath caught in her lungs as she felt herself being sucked into a tight tube, squeezing and draining the life out of her. She tried to breathe, tried to shout, tried to do anything more, but her body failed.

Then, air rushed back into her lungs as she was pulled out of the pipe. She fell to the floor, heaving heavily and panting as if she were being pursued by death itself.

What had happened all of a sudden? Did the Big Bad Alpha do that to her?

She rolled over on the floor, her entire body aching with pain. But as she tried to stand, the cold, pointed edge of a blade was placed directly against her head. She froze instantly.
