Chapter 147. Cynthia's Punishment from the Baron

Cynthia's breath caught in her lungs as she felt herself being sucked into a tight tube, squeezing and draining the life out of her. She tried to breathe, tried to shout, tried to even more but her body failed.

Then air rushed back into her lungs as she was pulled out of the pipe. She fell to the floor, heaving heavily and panting like she was pursued by death.

What had happened all of a sudden? Did the Big Bad Alpha do that to her?

She turned on the floor, her entire body in pain. But as she tried to stand, a cold, pointed edge of a metal was placed directly on her head. She froze immediately.

“Once again, you fail,” The Baron's pipe-like voice spoke. Cynthia shivered, definitely not from cold that accompanied The Baron's presence.

“Master...p-please...I—”

The cold tip of the sword pierced the layer of skin, and she gave a pained shout.

“Shut up!”

She whimpered but sealed her mouth. Gently, the sword was lifted and The Baron retreated
