Chapter 18. Getting Ready for an Outing
“You look good,” she breathed out. His tense cheek muscles twitched, and a smirk appeared on his face.
“Is there ever a time I look awful?” he teased. “Thanks for the compliment, though,” he added, his smirk widening.
She swallowed hard and turned around to walk toward the bathroom. She successfully made it to the door, but something told her he was still staring at her. She wanted to look back so badly, but she managed just to open the door and step inside. She heaved a deep sigh, expecting to feel relieved that she was no longer under his gaze.
Instead, her nostrils filled with his rain-like scent, and it completely messed with her senses. She suddenly wanted to turn back, run to him, and bury her face in his hair. She clenched her fists in an attempt to restrain herself from moving. Thankfully, it worked. She stripped, stepped under a shower that reeked of him
