Chapter 55. Reconciled

Olive was really confused by what Wayne was saying. Why would Gia suddenly begin to come around him after she arrived, when she hadn’t shown any interest in him while working with him for five years?

“You just stood there when she kissed you! You stood there when she was spitting out those horrible words at me!” she blurted out.

Wayne heaved a sigh. He swallowed and shut his eyes, then shifted back. Olive could see his struggle with his wolf as if it were a physical fight. He walked a short distance away from her and palmed the back of his head with both hands.

“Fucking stay inside!” he barked with his back turned to Olive.

It took him two minutes to calm down before he turned back to face her. His hair looked a bit longer and darker in tone, and his face still seemed feral. What in the world was this man?
