Chapter 97. Fresh Oranges

It was already very late into the night but Wayne had not had any dinner so Olive decided to eat light with him. They were seated casually at their dining table, taunting each other and having snacks.

Wayne suddenly said he loved her but Olive turned her head and stared at him like she didn't hear what he said.

“I said I love you,” he repeated and she chuckled.

“Guess who's equally in love with you?” she asked and he cracked a chuckle too.

“Yeah, I know I'm totally lovable now. What else do you women want in a man?” he asked in return with a smirk as he took his coffee mug to his lips.

“What are you trying to say here, mister?”

He didn't answer and took a cracker instead.

“You are sooo not lovable, you idiot. I would have ran for my life if you weren't my mate,” she added and he laughed out.

“Weren't you the one who said you would still love me even if I wasn't your mate? Wasn't that just hours ago?” he questioned and she pouted angrily.
