Chapter 27
Lucien was in agony. The pain was so intense that he couldn't think straight. He felt as though his hands were on fire. He could smell the skin burning. He screamed out loud, hoping that someone would hear him and come to his aid. But he was alone in his room, and the pain was only getting worse.
He lifted his hands to take a look, and for a second, he could have sworn that he saw feminine hands instead of his own rough, calloused ones. He shook his head, trying to clear the illusion, but it was no use. The pain was too intense, and he felt more confused than ever.
"Go to mate," his lycan kept insisting.
Despite the intense pain, Lucien could feel his Lycan urging him to go to their mate. The pull was strong, and he knew that it was important. But he was conflicted. His hands hurt like hell, and he was afraid that if he went to their mate, she would be scared.
