Chapter 58

Sara sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the letter that was delivered to her moments ago by the guard sent by Lucien. She couldn't believe what she was reading. Lucien had apologized for his outburst and even offered to make it up to her but sending a letter was a little extreme She wasn't sure what to think about it, but she couldn't deny that a part of her was happy about it.

She opened the letter and a smile spread on her face once she read the first line.

As she read the letter again, a small smile appeared on her face. She couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope that maybe Lucien could be her true mate instead of this mission, she could make it real.

It was a fleeting thought, but it was there nonetheless.

But Lucien was different. He was the pack leader and could have any mate he wanted. But for some reason, he had taken an interest in her. Sara couldn't help but wonder if it was all an act or if he genuinely cared for her.
