Chapter 133. A Silent Promise

Blair POV

Despite Suzie’s scolding, the anger within me did not die, it just couldn’t. The scene, the way the dark king held Suzie, the way he spoke to her, aggravated me. It hurt that I had to watch her, suffer and cry out in pain as she struggled in that pool. How could she expect me to stay still?

The dark king has trampled on Suzie, and insulted her honour and pride. It made rage engulf me, and what made things worse was that, there was nothing I could do about it.

Suzie sighed, breaking me out of my thoughts. My eyes flickered to her, and I watched her injured self, crawl back into the cold cell. She looked tired, defeated and weak. Her form made sadness wash over me, and that sadness, slowly turned to anger.

I began to reminisce about Suzie, and how joyful she used to be. Her radiant smile and healthy silver hair. Her strong demeanour and how she held herself up as the queen of the royal palace, with so much pride. The way she worked to the bone
