Chapter 94. Take A Look At The Mirror

“Sacred grounds?” I asked in awe as I walked further into the clearing.

My mother nodded. “Yes, this is a place that has been used for generations by each queen and princess to awaken their powers. Not everyone can be here.”

Leon’s words were finally made sense to me now. This was the reason why he couldn’t follow me down here. My eyes trailed the entire clearing and there wasn’t a lot of things to see. It was an open space with stone walls, and a stony ground. There were lit up fire, hung around the walls, illuminating the whole place, but at the same time, they cast shadows around the whole place.

I walked further into the open space, felt my weight shift on the floor, and I looked down to see my foot in a small, shallow hole. My eyes travelled to the floor, and large intricate designs lay before me. The floor was covered by a pattern. Lines stretched all over the floor and they all led to a circle in the middle.
