Chapter 43. A Promise Is a Promise
Damon laid on his usual side of the bed, arms folded across his chest and his signature frown in place. As for Sarah, she was the exact same; arms folded and a frown that mirrored his.
Days had passed, three whole days with this rift between them. It was barely enough to call a fight but neither spoke a word to the other since, determined not to give in first. But as they neared a fourth day, the fiery glares they constantly threw at each other were no more.
Damon couldn’t deny that it would’ve been so much better had Sarah been pressed to him, his arms around her small frame and their soft breaths mingling. While Sarah couldn’t deny that it was better to see him angry at someone else than with her.
From the moment they started sleeping together, they hadn’t slept apart since then… not even once. It was something they both had gotten used to.
