Creeping out from under the sleeve of his shirt, blood trickled over his knuckles and as each drop hit the floor, there was a nauseating twist in Sarah’s stomach. Those big, deadly fists raining punches after punches on a human… she could just imagine the horrifying sight he had left back at the mall.
But Damon hadn’t done nearly enough. Except for the slit a broken glass had left across his arm, he was unscathed. That wasn’t how he wanted it to end. Had it been different, had that human trash returned a single punch, he would’ve ended him on the spot, regardless of whatever rift it would cause between their species. The alliance they recently formed was a nuisance anyway, merely granted because of their endless pleads.
