“D-Damon?”
The simultaneous call of his name crippled Damon in place.
He stared over Sarah’s shoulder at a woman believed to be dead and rotting beneath the surface, not a soul to grieve her passing or visit her grave. Just like back at the mall, it should’ve been nothing more than a trick of the mind, but that voice was too real, and those striking blue eyes took him straight back to the past. It could only be her: the snake that had stomped on his trust, shattered his heart and then denied him of vengeance.
