Chapter 279. Precognition

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

Mary marched angrily through the passage leading away from the dining hall. She continued walking in different directions until she made it to her room. Clarabelle got off her seat at the meeting table and walked toward the exit.

“Where are you headed?” Nicole asked as she noticed Clarabelle.

“Oh, I... need to make sure Mary is doing alright. She didn't eat her breakfast, so I’m going to bring some food to her,” Clarabelle responded.

“I’ll come with you,” Melody suggested, getting up from his seat.

“Oh, no, there's no need for that, really. I’ll handle this myself. Thanks anyway,” Clarabelle said, turning around and walking out of the hall. 

She followed the same path Mary followed and arrived at her door in only a few minutes. She let out a soft breath, then knocked.

“Who’s there?” Mary asked.

“It's me, Clarabelle. Can I come in?” Clarabelle asked softly, with traces of concern in her voice.

“Sure,” Mary
