Chapter 280. Asura Battle

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

“What in the world is that?” Mary asked with shock and fear in her eyes. 

Clarabelle held Mary's hand tightly and pulled her to her back.

“What are you doing?” Mary asked.

“What does it look like I'm doing? I'm protecting you,” Clarabelle replied as she watched the monster slowly walk toward them, growing loudly. 

“But I should be the one protecting you; I have the power of an Immortal. You haven't figured out how to access your abilities yet,” Mary argued.

The ceiling above the monster suddenly broke open, and Anima fell through. She swung one of her morning stars at the monster's head, crushing it against the ground with one strike. The ground cracked, and Anima landed on top of the monster.

“The house is under attack; let's go quickly,” Anima said as the monster turned into black smoke.
