Chapter 79. The Void

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

“It's been 4 days straight, and Gabriella and the others haven't returned. I just hope nothing bad has happened to them,” Steven said, pacing around in his office.

“Don't worry, I'm sure they'll be fine. Besides, they have Valerie to guide them; they'll return home eventually,” Clarabelle said with a worried expression on her face. She had come into Steven's office to deliver his meal.

“I know, I just can't help but worry if only I could leave the dumb building,” Steven said, sitting on his desk.

Clarabelle was surprised by his behavior. She had never seen her alpha so worried about someone before. He was usually this grumpy, serious person, and he never even spoke a word to his maids unless it was an order.

“Could it be because of... Gabriella? Come to think of it, the alpha changed a lot when she came to the mansion. He smiles a lot more and speaks with his maids more. He is no longer the ruthless alpha we all once feared,” Clarabel
