Chapter 92. Mind Lost

~GABRIELLA'S POV~

I and the other girls sat in the room, laughing and talking about everything that took place on our journey to save Angela. We told her about the abilities of the heralds and how I was the only one who could touch the gemstone.

“I still can't believe Valerie tried to stab you,” Christine said, giggling after.

“Me too; Valerie is the Herald who sees good in everything. She's got a positive and cheerful attitude. Seeing her eyes as she swung that dagger repeatedly, I thought I was going to die for sure,” I replied.

“Wow, I would've loved to see that side of you, Valerie. Not in a million years would the thought of you holding a dagger or attacking someone ever cross my mind. Maybe you're not as soft as I thought you were,” Angela said. She sat beside me, and Valerie sat beside Marie.

“Oh, common. I'm not like that; the situation just got to my head, and I lost my mind. I could even hear voices coming from the lava pit, telling me to save
