I was stunned by what Mikel had asked of me. There was a funny feeling in my heart, a burst of joy maybe but I couldn't stop smiling as I stared at him. The possibility of him finally accepting me as his mate lingered on my heart. 

"What party is that?" I tried to contain my excitement so he wouldn't see the burst of joy flowing in my body.

He casually shrugged, tucking his hands into the pocket of his trousers "I'm opening a new branch of my father's company and I need a date".

I hid my smile away from him "sure, that won't be a problem" 

"I'll come pick you up later" he gave me a small smile before walking away from me.
