Killian's POV

There was no point in sitting in my car and questioning myself about why I was here. I was already there and whether or not I didn't know why I was so bothered about Esmeralda and Mikel getting comfortable in each other, I couldn't drive away.

Scratch that, I knew exactly what I was doing here and why I didn't want Mikel anywhere near Esmeralda. He wanted to mark her tonight, there's no way in hell that I was going to let that happen. Though it's mostly my fault, while regulating how I was feeling I tended to push her away and I was very mean to her. I knew this fear of losing her didn't only come from my wolf. I did not also want to lose her but Mikel is hell bent on marking her.

It was quite suspicious, a minute ago he rejected her because he wanted to be mated with the pure blood wolf and he spent a lot of money looking for that rarity and the next minute, he comes and decided to accept Esmeralda as his mate.
