Chapter 16. Taming the Beast

Ivy's POV

We had a meal to celebrate my graduation at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. It had a lavish decor and an elegant atmosphere and even better food.

I was having a great time enjoying the food until my mother started telling embarrassing stories from my childhood. It started as her praising me, but little did I know we were about to dive into my embarrassing past.

"I'm really grateful that Ivy has grown into such a sensible young lady," she began. "Even when I was busy with work, I was never worried that she'd get in trouble. My life has been much easier because she is responsible and doesn't get into unnecessary trouble."
