Chapter 40. A Pair From Hell

Ivy's POV

I stopped short and backed up, hiding behind a bookshelf. Standing still, I peered through a gap in the row of books.

Yeah, it was them again.

Recently, they had been hanging out together. A lot. Samantha had gone from following me around like a shadow to doing the same with Sean.

But while I'd been suspicious of her behaviour, Sean didn't seem to mind it at all. Like right now. Samantha was leaning into him, whispering something into his ear. Sean laughed out loud, and she pressed her hand to his mouth to keep him quiet. He did not push her away.
