Chapter 39. The Chase

Sean's POV

I gritted my teeth at the sight of Ivy training with Ezra. She had not listened to me and was still having classes with him. Was he the only trainer who could teach her? Why was she so adamant on him being her trainer?

Even if she did not want to rely on me to protect her, I could find her a suitable trainer who could take care of her special needs. But no, she didn't want that.

She was fine going against me for Ezra. Plus, she did not want him to know the real relationship between us. She was fully engrossed in him, not even noticing that I was watching.

Meanwhile, I was painfully aware of her. Did I always have to do something to make her pay attention to me? Would she even care if I disappeared suddenly?

"Sean!"

At the sound of my name, I stopped and turned to find Sam running towards me. Before I could say anything, she threw her arms around me. "Hey Sean! What's up?"
