Chapter 76. My Fault
Ivy's POV
I stared at the clock hanging on the sterile white wall of the hospital corridor outside Sean's room. The seconds ticked by with agonizing slowness, each one seeming like eternity.
It had been five hours since they took him inside. Five hours of waiting and worrying without being able to do anything to help. Five hours, and he still wasn't awake.
My nerves were frayed, worn thin from the constant worry that clawed at my chest. Sean was an Alpha. He was supposed to be strong, resilient, and unyielding. How hard could it be for him to recover?
The doctor had said the blade hadn't reached his heart or any major blood vessels. So why wasn't he waking up?
The door creaked open, and I snapped to attention, my heart leaping into my throat. Ken, my mother, and Ezra were already on their feet, their faces etched with the same anxiety I felt. We rushed toward the doctor, hoping he'd have good news for us this time.
