The sudden commotion caused Lana to pause and turn around, her lips curling into a sneer.

The roar of an engine filled the air as a red sports car screeched into the warehouse, crashing through the doors and sending debris flying. Relief surged through me like a tidal wave as I recognized it—Sean's Ferrari.

At the same time, I regained feeling in my limbs. For a brief moment, I thought I could seize the opportunity to attack Lana while her attention was diverted. But as I tried to move, I realized I was tied up.
