Raina’s POV

Valen raised his voice to an eardrum-shattering decibel with claws extending. “Like the way that you were getting to know Chapman, today? Are you crazy? Must I kill all of these Alphas because of you?”

“What did you do?” Dad immediately probed.

“If you hadn’t left me alone, I would not have been harassed.” I defended sourly, pointing at him. My heart lumbered against my rib cage and my eyes glistened with a fresh sadness.

Like a behemoth, he stood firmly and resolutely, sucking me into his lush green orbs which made my heart fluttered. A mysterious heat budded from our clashing obstinate gaze.

“And that proves my point when I said earlier that I have a mission to go on. Who will watch over you when I am not here and who knows how long Devin and I will be gone for?” He gnashed his teeth. I felt the chaos swirling in him. He looked so sexy even though I was pissed at him. “Will you chase after me and put yourself in danger?”
