Chapter 5

Lonely

Not hearing from him for several days, I began to wonder if he even really liked me in the first place. I thought there was this amazing chemistry between us, but maybe it was just all in my head. After all, I haven’t had one text or phone call from him since he left. 

Shaking my head, I frown and then put my phone down after checking it one last time. I needed to go to the store, and I had been putting it off, just in case he called.

But as it looks right now, the only man I will be seeing is the cashier’s smiling face at the grocery store.

After getting ready, I close the door and lock it. However, when I turn around and head to the car, I look up just to see Mr. Randal peeking out of his window curiously.

“What is his problem?” I say under my breath before giving him a glaring look and walking to the car. 

While I am unlocking it, I sense someone behind me and turn around
