Chapter 9
Eliana’s POV
I went straight to the bar after my confrontation with Oliver. I knew I was already drunk, but I kept drinking more. I danced all night and kissed a lot of guys. I was so wasted, but I needed to be wasted in order not to feel the emotional turmoil inside of me. I went out of the bar and vomited in the parking lot; then, I went to my car to drive home. I knew this was bad; I shouldn’t be doing this. My eyes were blurry from crying all night until a car almost hit me. My life flashed before me, and I stopped the car. Thank God I didn’t get hit by another car, or else I might be dead right now.
I crawled to the side of the highway because of too much alcohol. I decided not to drive anymore and called Aly instead.
With trembling hands, I pulled out my phone and dialed Aly’s number. Each ring felt like an eternity, the despair within me growing with each passing second. When her voice finally filled my ear, a mixture of relief washed over me.
