Chapter 8
Eliana’s POV
The engagement venue was decorated with white flowers. It was heavenly beautiful, with people wearing white formal attire. But I was in a tight black dress and a little drunk when I arrived at the venue. I quickly made my way to the back of the room so I wouldn’t get too much attention. As the party started, my heart felt heavy looking at the couple who seemed so happy, while here I was, drowning in pain because of the future groom.
Everyone was congratulating the couple, and then Oliver and Sarah saw me. They were smiling, and my tears flowed down my cheeks, and I wiped them in front of Oliver.
“Oh, Eli. You don’t have to cry. Thanks for being here. I wish Wendel was here as well,” he said, being so happy because I was here.
I managed a weak smile, my heart aching as I tried to hold back the waves of emotions crashing within me.
“Yeah, me too.”
