Chapter 65
It started pouring before anyone could react properly. Swiftly taking charge, Knight grabbed my arm and hurriedly led me to the shelter. The onlookers gathered around, panting in agitation. Later, I noticed them tending to the battered General. Despite being labeled as criminals, they had come to the aid of another, a human who wasn't like them.
While being dragged away, the rain was so heavy that I could barely flutter my eyes open. With the addition of the intense silence and Knight’s impulsivity, I had to break loose from his grip. I let out a huge burst of courage as I faced him amidst the torrential shower. A cool gust of wind swept my hair; it contributed to my infuriated exterior.
